Chanel . . .

Died October 2003 aged 17 years.

Chanel was rescued from the Wellington landfill when someone tried to get rid of her brothers & sisters in a sack. Luckily The Cat's Protection League rescued her. Since then she had a life of luxury. In her later years she had arthritis but apart from sleeping, eating and looking lovely her duties were light. 

Because of her cultured and excellent sense of taste she took on the name of the famous Coco Chanel, a woman who was not just ahead of her time but ahead of herself.
